Not my fastest run ever not was it my slowest. Mrs. Hot Wife went to a play tonight with some friends, so I had the boys for the night. That meant no swimming, which I was actually glad for. I needed to get in a good solid run. I really have been ignoring my run to get my bike fitness levels up to where they need to be. Ergo, the confidence run.

I put the dreadmill at 7.0 mph and just ran. The run was a little weird a the beginning for some reason. I just felt a little off. I started focusing on my stride and at about the 1.8 mile mark I think I relaxed or something because I just started feeling good. I usually hit that feeling about a mile into a run, but tonight it just took longer for some reason. But, when the run finished I felt like I had about another four or five miles left in the tank. Tonights run definitely gave me the confidence in my legs that I was looking for.

And that’s a good thing.
