As my boy Haus would say, “That’s what I am talking about!” This was a great ride. I pushed the effort on this ride to see how my Achilles Tendon would hold up and it felt great. I had a nice steady effort followed by three 1:00 intervals between 250-270 watts. The fourth interval as about :45 between 410-425 watts. Even the rest periods were between 180-220 watts. I know I said I would post my pacing and nutrition strategy for Ironman St. George, but I think I will need to get to that later tonight. I am taking another ride to get some heavy duty sprints in really push the Achilles to see if it is going to be alright. I am going to hold off on my runs until the end of the week just so that it has more time to heal from that activity. I am excited — this should be a great workout/taper week.
