Today was Halloween, so obviously there was a ton of stuff to get done for this thing that we call life. My training ride was nice and simple, and I sort of liked it that way. Monday is when I begin the true training for my Ironman. I am going to play around with a couple of different training styles during the next six months leading up to my race. I tried to get a coach to work with me, but he has been a little non-responsive, so I am not sure where that is going to leave the two of us.

I think it is very important when choosing a coach to find someone who will work with you. There are a ton of resources to help you find the right coach on the web, and one of the better resources is at the USA Triathlon website. You can access it here. I like that you can find a coach geographically, which is one of the important components of finding a coach for me. The website trifind.com also has an excellent directory. You can find it here.
