So I left early in the morning on Tuesday to head to one of my clients in North Dakota. That is one big state. I flew into Grand Forks which is on the eastern side of the state and my client is located in Williston, which is on the western side of the state. The two towns are five hours apart. That is a long way to drive.

On top of that, there is an oil and gas pipeline that is being put in outside of Williston, meaning that the pipeline workers are all staying in Williston. That translates into a significant shortage of hotel rooms. I had to stay in Minot North Dakota which is two hours away from Williston.

I went to the YMCA in Minot to run and they had a Cybex 750T treadmill, which is the same one I put into schools all the time. That has to be the best treadmill I have ever run on. I loved the flex in the running deck. It was easy on the knees and on the quads, translating into the ability to go longer. Granted, it wasn’t like you were running outside, but man it felt good. I loved that run!
