And the Winner is…

First I want to say thanks to everyone for making this contest as successful as it was. It was a lot of fun to hold and I hope you guys all had a good time with it too. Keep your ears to the group and keep coming back because we are going to put together another fantastic promotion in December that will blow your socks off.

The great thing about this contest is that it has brought some of your wallflowers onto the dancefloor. I was glad to see some of you become followers. It was selfish — it gives me some new blogs to read. Some of the best blog titles ever have been revealed through this contest and here are a couple that tickled my fancy:

longlegsontheloose.com

milesmusclesmommyhood.blogspot.com

runknitrun.blogspot.com

babyweightmyfatass.blogspot.com/

youhavelegssorun.blogspot.com/

bikinirun.blogspot.com/

and one of my favorites…

bodybybeer.blogspot.com

Now on to the real reason you are here…

There were a ton of entries for this contest — 539 to be exact. The entries came from comments on blog posts, links to the contest on blogs and Facebook, and people who are followers of this blog. I carefully (no kidding) put all of the entries into an Excel sheet where each line item had the name of the individual, their contact information available from their entry method, and the source of their entry. It was harder that it sounds. Really.

I then went up to random.org and had the random number generator select a number for my within the range of 1 to 539. I was very glad a family member or friend did not win because that would be just too much to explain to everyone. Here is the result of the random number generator:

As you can see, line number 197 is the winner. Here is the information from the magical spreadsheet:

Our big winner is Stephanie Ann from runtohealth.blogspot.com. She left a comment on one of my posts. Now she has the choice of a Garmin Forerunner 405 or the Garmin Edge 500. I have sent her an email and I about positive she will be claiming her soon. Stephanie is a physical therapist, runner, and triathlete. I think her story is inspiring and we will expect her to send us pictures of her using her new GPS on a run or ride.

Some of you gave me some great suggestions of what you would like me to research and write about. There are several of you who also contacted me about being a guest writer for this blog and FYI — I love the idea. So be on the lookout in the next couple of weeks for some new features at 26.2ismycooldown.com. I promise they will be equally as appealing and useful as what I have posted in the past. Really…
