I was born in Gary Indiana, but was raised in Dallas until I went away for school. My parents still live there and I consider myself a Texan through and through. I bleed orange and white for THE University of Texas and I can’t eat chips without salsa. My ancestors fought and died at the Alamo and every other major military conflict in the U.S. I am extremely proud to fly the Texas State Flag on important dates, the Longhorn flag for football days, and the American Flag every other day.
I thought about posting a video for “Texas Our Texas” but then, I thought this would be more appropriate.
God certainly blessed Texas.

Amen brother! Now go knock down a Shiner and enjoy the day!
Christi, there is something about living in Texas that just makes the world a little better place.
Well, I had no idea that today was a holiday. I just relocated to Dallas – how am I supposed to be celebrating today? Since it’s Texas, I assume I should be doing something with a gun. Or a horse. Or a cowboy. No wait, I don’t want to do anything with a cowboy.
This was your first Jesse, so I am sure they won’t revoke your citizenship just yet. One suggestion — teach your cowgirl to two-step. That would be an excellent way to celebrate.
I’ve been lucky in Texas. I’ve also been unlucky in Texas. But it’s still a net positive.
The stars at night are big and bright (clap, clap, clap) Deep in the heart of Texas!
Having just returned from my first visit to the Great Country of Texas (I was even there on Texas Independence Day), I finally get it. Sort of at least. It is still a crazy place to us Midwesterners!
Dang right Kevin. We would love to have you back anytime you want pal.
Oh no! I’m an Aggie! And I liked you so much before I found out you were a Longhorn
Oh well, you’re a Texan, and I guess that’s all that matters!
Carilyn there is always room for Aggies at my table. Now that you guys jumped conferences, the only time I will cheer against you will be the once in a blue moon game where you play UT. They were good times back in the day in the Southwest Conference, then the Big 12. We will always have those days…
